On 21 March 1960, South African police killed 69 p On 21 March 1960, South African police killed 69 peaceful demonstrators who were protesting that country's system of racial segregation, known as apartheid.

Today, like so many members of our network, we re-commit to not only dream of futures where racism and discrimination will eliminated, but to actively work towards real change.
According to the UN, racism constitutes "a serious barrier to economic and social development." Race and ethnicity were the most frequently cited reasons among those who reported discrimination to Statistics Canada.

As drivers of economic development, Employment Service Providers meet needs of job seekers neglected by persistent systemic inequities.

Our calls-to-action are as follows:
	1) Combat economic disparity and precarious work
	2) Educate yourself on how to challenge discrimination by seeking and believing insights from racialized groups
	3) Challenge racism and discrimination in your workplace
	4) Challenge yourself to work against your preconceived biases to minimize your complicity in racist systems.
