LaunchPad Fast Track

Many providers have expressed interest in LaunchPad but have been without capacity to commit to the full program. First Work and Purpose Co are now pleased to offer LaunchPad Fast Track with only 7 weeks of classes (one 3 hour session every 2 weeks).

What’s LaunchPad Fast Track? The demand-driven program delivery you’re looking for in training, now offered in a 7-week program to accommodate your busy practitioner schedule.

Through LaunchPad Fast Track, you will learn:

  • The ins and outs of dual-customer programs – the new approach coming in with transformation.
  • Inform workforce solutions by building partnerships with industry employers
  • Conduct Job Requirement Analysis (JRA) for evidence-informed programming

Application close: October 1st, 2021

Program course dates: November 1st-January 31st, 2022

Application close: November 5th, 2021

Program course dates: January 5th-March 30th, 2022

The 7-week course will focus on the dual-customer workforce approach and how to design industry specific programming using adult learning best practices. This content will support participants to identify a targeted occupation and sector, build partnerships, identify workforce needs and design pre-employment programming to meet identified needs.

See the complete revised course outline for reference.

Not sure if LaunchPad is right for your agency? Tune into the webinar to find out if this program is a good fit for your professional development.

This is a highly participatory course. Those staff participating (2-3 from each agency) should be comfortable discussing, sharing and learning with peers.

In LaunchPad Fast Track, participating agencies and staff will be able to:

  • Understand the key elements of a dual-customer workforce program focused on preparing vulnerable job seekers for specific in-demand jobs.
  • Identify a targeted industry, build relationships and perform analysis of targeted in-demand occupations.
  • Design applied occupation specific skills training based on the operations and needs of employers.
  • Apply training design best practices that support participants to learn, complete the program and be successful on the job.
  • Provide and receive feedback from your peers.
  • Implement continuous improvement.

After LaunchPad Fast Track is complete, each agency is expected to deliver their customized 3-week pre-employment training intervention (either in person, online or blended).
